Gas Insulated Switchgear

Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is a compact, high-voltage switchgear system where all live components are sealed inside metal enclosures filled with insulating gas, typically SF6. This design provides superior insulation and arc-quenching performance in a fraction of the space required by air-insulated alternatives.

Mainly used in urban substations, industrial plants, and environmentally sensitive areas, GIS offers high reliability, minimal maintenance, and enhanced safety, making it ideal for installations where space constraints, pollution resistance, and operational stability are critical.
